Welcome to Where Pop Culture and Politics Meet
Meet the Gen Z journalist behind this Substack and find out what will hit your inbox by subscribing.
Hi! Welcome to The Pop-Litical Buzz, a Substack that’ll explore how politics and pop culture currently overlap and have in the past.
My name is Alisha Allison. I am a pop culture lover with a degree in political science currently studying journalism at the Craig Newmark School of Journalism at CUNY. I am a national writer for Her Campus’ entertainment vertical and was an editor at the UB Spectrum, a student-led publication at my alma mater, University at Buffalo. Shoutout to any HC girls and Buffalonians reading this!
The goal of this publication is to keep readers in the know of the latest pop culture and politics news, events, and releases in addition to featuring emerging and key players and sharing stories that examine influence and power. The content posted will aimed at Gen Z but I hope all generations see the appeal and enjoy my posts.
